“NOT A BAG OF MARBLES... BUT A BUNCH OF GRAPES!”
Is how Christine Anderson a previous colleague once described the centre, she was right because the organisations that work here are not just a bag of marbles, rolling around doing their own thing, instead, we’re a bunch of grapes, all hanging in there together, all serving the community in our own way, all supported by the vine of the church and the love of God.
It’s been another busy year with as many as 2,000 people in and through our premises in a week. We’ve been joined by another new group, Narcotics Anonymous, who meet on Saturday evenings.
It’s a joy to see so many community groups and so much work going on to serve the neighbourhood here on our premises.
We’re also starting to get a name for ourselves as a venue for children’s parties. So, if you’re a community group, a charity, or a group that wants to serve the local neighbourhood and looking for a home, give us a ring on 6479345. We’ve still got office space available and some room space available, so perhaps we can all help one another.
All that remains is for me to say a big thank you to all the organisations in the left hand column, and wish you well for next year.
Tim Edwards
